Creativity Makes the Difference
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth the Earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
God said “let let there be light “ and God divided the light from the darkness and he saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:1-2.
We can see Holy Spirit was hoovering giving birth and creating at the beginning. The Trinity was working in perfect harmony God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus was the light at the beginning before even the creation of the Sun moon and stars. Jesus is the light today, the Holy Spirit is still hoovering and Father God is still speaking. Let there be light.
In the book of 2 Corinthians 5:16 it speaks of where we are at now “therefore if anyone is in Christ( or the light or the anointing )they are a new creation old things have passed away and all things have become new .” What a great reality for us to live in, where all hope is always present.
The same Holy Spirit that was creating life at creation was creating life throughout the Bible and in our lives today. The Angel spoke to Mary the mother of Jesus and said “the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the highest will overshadow you the holy one who is to be born will be the son of God and his name is Jesus” and Jesus was super naturally conceived.
Three years before Jesus was crucified when he was baptised and he prayed looking up to heaven Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a Dove upon him and he was filled with the Holy Spirit who led him into the wilderness where he was tested by the devil resisting the accusations by speaking God’s word. He returned from the desert in the power of the Holy Spirit speaking “the spirit of God is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor sent me to heal the brokenhearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of site to the blind and liberty those who are oppressed to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” which later Peter recognised, saying “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for God was with him.” The evidence was seen by many as Jesus went about doing the work of His Father, bringing the Kingdom on earth.
We can all be greatly encouraged in our mission work, for Jesus himself said the same creative Holy Spirit will come up upon all who believe in him saying “you shall receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you shall be witnesses to me in Judea Samaria and to the end of the world.” We have everything we need to go do it.
When Holy Spirit came upon the early believers in the book of acts as the prophet Joel said the church was created and she has been creating ever since not by our might or power but by his spirit
The ends of the Earth are being reached and Mission on the Move is playing a small part in this. We are thankful for the work in Nepal in India Burundi Rwanda and Uganda and the Uk that we have been able to support through prayer, speaking, reaching out by acts of compassion seeing Gods creative power at work in our own hearts and lives and the nations as he hoovers over us and we invite him in .
