Simplicity produces action

At our last local Pastors /leaders community hub meeting in Rwanda we spoke about simplicity and thinking outside of the box as a result the leaders carried on speaking about the communities they live in over lunch. Talking around how they could simplify what they do where they live and help the local people. They were moved in their hearts by the poverty that the families around them even themselves are faced with each day. They all had a moment of clarity as they spoke about what they could do to help their local communities and what kind of projects they could do together - a dream began to emerge of buying a few pigs that could be reared and multiplied so they provide a long-term income for each family.

The pigs reproduce reasonably quickly with a larger litter that is then able to be purchased for a good price bringing finance to the family and also bringing money to reinvest in their little small business that they’re developing and growing slowly. They have gathered a team of experienced people to oversee each family and help them look after the piglets and grow them to strength until they can produce a litter.

I was amazed when Pastor John rang and spoke to me about this, he had decided to begin and used soem their own finance to buy the first piglets. As a group of leaders working together this is a wonderful plan in itself.

We as Mission on the Move have been able to add to what they’ve already done and have sent been able to provide seven piglets for seven families. They are now caring for them daily as they grow and learning new skills as a families. To them this is a huge blessing and sign of God love. It always takes a step of faith with doing something new and the leaders did that as did the families who said yes. As we know it is faith the grows when do the new thing with God one step at a time. So we pray for the families embrace a God idea born out of simple teaching on the ability of simplicity.

We want to say thank you for making this possible and we look forward to updating you on how this project is going and how it is lifting the families out of the poverty that they could be facing and also bringing local communities together to work together; therefore it is quite transformational by his nature. Thank you again and will keep you posted.
