Don’t knock the small
This last week we had a great time online with our Rwanda Missional Hub. Six rural Pastors/ Leaders come together to pray, listen to God, chat ideas and eat together. So far this type of meeting has been transformational for the leaders.
Each time we do a Leadership Hub something new happens. This time we had a couple of great seminars with discussions on how to put what we have learned into practise. Then we had a third session ( long day) where we listened to the hearts of the leaders, their struggles and we chatted out a plan around the situations they find themselves in.
Christians around the world are desperate for teaching and there is a real hunger growing for the how to follow Jesus daily. Some of the Churches in Rwanda find themselves not able to meet together due to closure. This is due to the buildings not being up to standard for health and safety or the Pastors have no qualification to lead which can lead to all kinds of chaos.
This leaves those who have a faith in a difficult situation and with no Church to be part of locally. They are isolated and Rwandan people are all about community. As we chatted the suggestion was if we can get a Bible to one person who can read there is no need of the bigger buildings. Scripture clearly states in Matthew 18:20 “ Where two or three meet in my name, there I am with them.” This month we have been able to send Bibles out and hope to do more over the next few months. Those leading on the ground who are trained will oversee the small prayer groups. Let’s see what God does through hearts that are open to the changes.
Pray for the people as they adjust and pray for those that have fallen away from their faith in this season.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers.
