Your Kingdom Come

I never cease to learn lessons about what the Kingdom of God is like and His heart for people. Last week whilst I was sat on my laptop writing Pastor D from Nepal asked if I could join them to pray with a woman. I said no, you can go ahead you don’t need me - then five minutes later I thought why not ? So I jumped on a video prayer call into Nepal.

I saw a woman in the middle of the room being prayed for by at least three people, she was crying and I could see she couldn’t move her arm and was in great pain. Turned out she had lost everything in the floods, her home, belongings and she was physically hurt after falling in the floods. I suggested we pray that God will do some healing physically and for her practical needs to met. The Pastors laid hands on her and I prayed gently as I normally would do ending the prayer in the name of Jesus. We asked if she could do something she couldn’t do before and her arm shot up and she moved it with no pain, feeling strength come as she moved, her smile was huge. I was amazed and shocked - the room erupted with praise and more tears this time thankful to God. Later that week I asked the Pastor to go visit and see how she was - he explained how she was still in no pain and had full movement back.

Obviously this hasn’t solved all her problems but it’s the beginning of God restoration. Sometimes, we see signs of the Kingdom coming but other times we pray and don’t see in the way we would like. Our role is only to pray the rest is in Gods hands.

Thanks to your help. We’ve been able to send some finance to get some food and supplies that she may need as a sign that God has not forgotten her.

This week when I called up Pastor D and he’s on a mission trip this week into the hills teaching the Bible for eight days to a group of young people some of whom are recovering from addiction. He is spending time with them teaching on restoration and healing. I am always inspired by his ministry and that he just responds when called to go to father the broken hearted and lost.

We have a program coming up into Nepal for teaching the Bible and equipping new believers so pray for this. It’s a great opportunity to serve the Church out there as we do this work together with Pastor D. Please pray for him and his family as they give their lives all the time serving people quietly in the background getting on with it with very little support. We pray that God would begin to restore everything they need, thank you.
