Sports Outreach - Nepal

Over the last three years we have not been able to travel due various personal challenges. This at times has been a hard adjustment after travelling overseas since 1998. However God has opened our eyes to see that He turns all things round for good. Despite the fact that we may not go ourselves we can as Mission on the Move send others. This has always been our heart to send people and who better than those who know the culture and have a vision.

This month we have had a Pastor in Nepal out on a missions trip to a remote rural area. He is has a great compassion for those who haven’t heard about the love of God. He asked if he could go to this remote area, would we pray and help him to reach some unreached people. As he travelled he didn’t quite know where he would stay and how it would be. When he arrived the people embraced him wanted him to stay and share more of Jesus with them - so he was able to stay for extra time.

Whilst he was living amongst the people a youth Pastor asked if he could start an outreach to young people through sport. Again, the Pastor in Nepal reached out to us for advice. He spoke of how these young people are hanging out most days with little prospects; they really need the hope that Jesus brings. With your help we have been able to buy footballs and badminton sets to kick start the outreach off. We are praying for the Church in this area of Nepal and for the next generation to capture the heart of God for them.

Thank you for helping the Pastor to reach the unreached and enable the sports outreach to begin.
