Not forgotten

Allene has been suffering for the last two years with cancer tumours in her stomach. While she’s had treatment and that lasted a while it appears those tumours have now come back implying there are secondaries. The doctors are looking after her as best they possibly can. She felt that God had forgotten her.

For the last few years Allene and her daughter have been living with a man who is now getting married and wants his rooms is back. Her own house as you can see from the picture was falling down, literally and uninhabitable. Pastor John met Allene who was heavily burdened by the fact that her future is unsure and she feels unwell all the time. Her heart was breaking that she may leave her daughter at risk of being homeless. When the rain comes it is so  heavy the house would have crumbled.

Pastor John approached us “could we have a heart to help this family?” To help rebuild and restore home so Allene can to go home and be in comfort while she’s cared for and for the daughter to have a safe place to live.

We are pleased to say that through your amazing generosity we have been able to restore and rebuild not only the home, but also the toilets that were necessary for the home to be lived in with dignity. Thank you so much, Allene is overjoyed to have to be able to go and be in her own home again. Both her and her daughter are now connected with the local Church for their ongoing wellbeing. It has brought her great peace in her heart to know that whatever happens her daughter has a security to fall back on and that God not forgotten her in the shadow of her suffering.

We can’t help everyone but we can stop for the ones God leads us to.

Thank you.
