Provision has come

We are thrilled, the farm in Burundi has produced a good crop in this first year! The Church community planted eggplant earlier this year and were successfully able to harvest quickly in abundance. They sold on to market places very quickly making a good profit of 80% going to supporting the ongoing needs of the children who have lost their parents. This is has enabled more seed to be bought for the next crop and some food provisions for the families who support and care for children on the ground in Burundi.

Through peoples generosity we have recently been able to provide new clothes for the children as well as pay some small school fees so they can continue their education at a local school. The church continues to support where they can, they have regular celebration days where members of the church bring food for the children as part of their contribution to loving the wider community.

What I love about this very simple community approach is that everyone can be a blessing to others. This speaks volumes to the wider community as they love and care for those around them. The nature of God is made known and seen through practical faith lived out. We are so happy to partner with them to under the leading of Pastor Matthew. We pray that this gives the Church a little lift as they get the farm established and we pray that the farm will increase in fruitfulness to provide more amongst those who have suffered great loss.

Thank you to those who helped support and pray for the children in Burundi.
