Reaching beyond ourselves

Despite being focused in Rwanda and Uganda and the UK for the last 25 years doing ministry evangelism I’ve always known that I am called to reach the nations but never been quite sure how that would happen.

Amazingly, I am now seeing that starting to play out. God has open doors for us in other nations within the last two years that I would’ve never dreamed possible. For me, I’ve always loved the relationships we have with those on the ground and the partnerships and the mutual learning that happens through those friendships. We are loving providing training /teaching for Pastors and Leaders in India and other countries each month either through zoom or conference phone calls. They are taking the training we are doing and running with it.

Leadership training: India

It has been, great to be able to join with Christians scattered in Nepal through an online zoom run by one of the local pastors. I’ve been challenged by our friendship as he serves and gives all he has into the ministry he is living and breathing the calling on his life - giving up his home comforts to serve God.

He often goes on trips into the hills of Nepal to share Gods love with the people. One trip he found a child headed family in a remote village struggling to survive. The had recently parents committed suicide and the family were in shock. He told me when he went to share amongst them at the Church the presence of God was so strong and powerfully present that it was very very moving. Where there is a heart cry, God will be there. Small Churches exist in very remote regions and the Pastors are running dry and overwhelmed. Hence our heart to facilitate training and fellowship times for them.

The local church is helping the young family with food, clothes and pastoral support. The need is great and this is just one family. We are planning to send some supplies for the family in a few weeks when the Pastor visits the region again, along with some Bibles in the local language for the Church. This will help the Pastor with discipling people.

We thank God that we can touch the nations in this way through teaching and equipping those on the ground to do the work of the evangelist by bringing the gospel in word and deed along with equipping the Church. This brings transformation and change to the people and ultimately the villages.

Please join us in praying for this part of the world.
